Hastings has been popular with visitors since 1066 when a certain William took a quick trip over from France and liked it so much he decided to stay! Hastings has many fine buildings and this house in the Old Town of Hastings is no exception as self catering holiday homes go it is exceptionally well decorated and furnished. Just a stones throw from Hastings Sea Front and Hastings Beach this represents an excellent opportunity to stay in a historic position and to enjoy the fruits of tourism in the Hastings Area. This includes the scene of the original Battle of Hastings which took place about 6 miles north of Hastings in the town appropriately named Battle. Battle is also a picturesque town and contains some fine restaurants as well as the Battle site which, appropriately enough, became first a convent and then a girls school. Hastings is generally well located on the South Coast of England as a base to visit may other towns, museums and gardens.
